Subsequently, in 2019, he took on a role in another ITV miniseries, “Beecham House“, a historical drama directed by Gurinder Chadha. Kalra’s casting as Javed Khan in “Blinded by the Light“, a film depicting a British-Pakistani teenager inspired by Bruce Springsteen in 1987, stemmed from his rendition of “Born to Run” during the audition.
