PinkPantheress began her musical journey in high school, initially composing tunes to assist a friend before venturing into creating her own music. At 17, she delved into using GarageBand to craft instrumentals for fellow singer Mazz, and later utilized the platform to record many of her early tracks while tucked away in her university dorm at late hours. Initially, her original songs as PinkPantheress on SoundCloud didn’t attract much attention. However, a video she posted on her personal TikTok in December 2020 received over 500,000 likes, prompting her to post a snippet of her song “Just a Waste” as PinkPantheress, leading to its viral success on the platform.

August 2022 saw the release of “Picture in My Mind” featuring Sam Gellaitry, followed by the EP “Take Me Home” in December 2022. Her collaboration with Skrillex and Trippie Redd on “Way Back” was included in Skrillex’s album the next month. PinkPantheress joined forces with Ice Spice for the remix of “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” in February 2023, a track that gained popularity on TikTok and charted high, marking her debut on the Billboard Hot 100. “Angel” for the Barbie film soundtrack was released in June 2023, followed by “Turn Your Phone Off” and a feature on Troye Sivan‘s “Rush” remix in August 2023.
