When Khunou was sixteen, she participated in a school play, which is when she realized she had a passion for performing. Following that, she performed in children’s theater, did voiceover work, and had brief appearances on TV. On August 31, 2016, she debuted as an actress on television in the drama series Mamello on SABC2. She played the recurring part of Modiehi. In 2017, she went back to the role for Season 3.
She performed as Mapula, a recurrent character, in the Mzansi Magic telenovela The Throne that same year.
