Having left her job, Coi Leray entered the music scene by releasing her debut single, a response to A Boogie wit da Hoodie‘s “DTB” titled “G.A.N.” on SoundCloud in 2018. Her breakthrough came with the single “Huddy” and her inaugural mixtape, “Everythingcoz”, both unveiled in 2018.

In December 2018, she featured on the track “Save the Day” alongside LouGotCash for American rapper Ski Mask the Slump God and singer Jacquees on the soundtrack for the 2018 film “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse“. Her second mixtape, “EC2”, dropped on January 18, 2019. Leray accompanied rapper Trippie Redd on his Life’s a Trip Tour and released the single “Good Days” in March 2019. Later, she appeared as a featured artist on Trippie Redd’s “Everything BoZ” from his second studio album, “!”. In April 2020, she collaborated with Fetty Wap on the single “Better Days” and featured on the remix of Keke Palmer‘s “Sticky” in May 2020. Leray’s debut extended play, “Now or Never”, came out in August 2020.
